PRODUCT INFORMATION
SOYWAX
Soy wax is 100% natural and is derived from soybean oil. After soybeans are harvested, they are cleaned, de-hulled, and rolled into flakes, from which soybean oil is extracted. The leftover flakes are used as animal feed. The unsaturated fatty acids present in the oil are saturated, thereby dramatically altering the oil's melting point, and solidifying at room temperature.
Soy wax is environmentally friendly, renewable, biodegradable, and non-toxic. It also burns slower than paraffin wax candles and is an excellent fragrance carrier, depending on its type. It is effortless to clean and burns with zero petro soot. By buying soy wax candles, you are supporting soybean farmers and ensuring that the newest addition to your home decor burns clean and won't detract your air quality.
Soy-based candles offer soft, natural lighting, with none of the dangers associated with paraffin-based candles. In addition, they are 100% vegan and do not require any animals in their production.
ECO WICKS
We use eco wicks, which are also environmentally friendly. They are made with cotton and are interwoven with paper threads. They are primed with vegetable wax (soy wax in our case). By incorporating eco wicks in our products, we ensure a cleaner burn and reduce the release of harmful chemicals into the air. Eco wicks tend to work well with soy wax and are lead and zinc-free.
REUSABLE GLASS CONTAINERS
Our glass containers are sustainable, reusable, and fully recyclable. Once your candle is consumed, you can easily clean it and use it for other purposes. Information on how to clean and reuse your container, after consumption, is mentioned in our FAQ section.
PACKAGING
Our packaging is designed to be environmentally friendly, reusable, and sustainable. We use materials such as organic canvas fabric, paper, and cardboard, all of which are biodegradable. The gutthis (canvas pouches) are made with natural, organic materials that biodegrade faster than synthetic fabrics, reducing waste and pollution. Our paper and cardboard packaging is made from recycled materials and is fully biodegradable.
Once the candles are removed, all packaging can be repurposed: the gutthis make perfect storage pouches for coins, small gadgets like digital cameras, and many other items. The glass containers are versatile too and can be reused as airtight spice jars, pen stands, or even candle holders.
Please note that our candles are hand-poured and home-made, with love and care.
Due to this, the finishing of the candle sometimes may not be perfect like those of machine-made candles. However, that does not affect how the candle burns, or the smell, at all.
